This was followed by addresses by Dr. Azad Moopen, Chairman and MD of Aster DM health care, Mr. Ambareesh Murthy – Founder & CEO of Pepperfry.com also shared their experiences in business life.

As aspiring managers, this conference helped us a lot to interact with CEO’s and senior executives from different business enterprises. Through personal interaction with Mr. Philip George CEO Axcenta ITES Pvt.ltd, Mr. Ajay George Varghese MD BIPHA, Mr. Sreejith P Business Development manager of Solutions of Infini Technologies Pvt.ltd, Mr. Sudheep Chandran Director of Gapblue software Labs Pvt, Ltd and many others helped us realize what the real business world is. The experience sharing by young entrepreneurs like Mr. Vishnu Menon, Mr. Rahul Das, social entrepreneur Ms. Neha Arora was an eye opener for us about the corporate world. We learned how an entrepreneur must focus on his appearance, attitude and communication over and above the business related aspects. The most inspiring events were the start – up labs and mentoring sessions which have been structured to support upcoming entrepreneurs.

It was a great learning opportunity for us. In the midst of these corporate talks and all we didn’t notice that a day was over and we wound up our day hoping the next day was as informative and learning filled as today.

On the second day, the first keynote address was by Dr. Shabeer Nellikode MD, Specialist Neurology, Universal hospital. A short video about his career and achievement was portrayed prior to his presentation. Another key note by Alessandro Giulliani, MD, MISB Bocconi SDA Bocconi India, he pinpointed various similarities that Kerala and Italy have in the field of entrepreneurship. Another keynote address by Mr. Jayant Prasad Paleti, Co – founder of Darwinbox. An IIT and IIM alumnus, gave a brief introduction about his company, the name he said was inspired from Darwin’s theory of

evolution. Two keynote addresses which were much awaited by us were by Mr. Subroto Bagchi – Co – founder Mindtree and Mr. Elias George I.A.S. Diving into examples from business enterprises across India, Mr. Bagchi spoke on the characteristics that need to be possessed by organizations. Mr. Elias George IAS, Ex-Managing Director and Additional Chief Secretary of Transport, Kochi Metro Rail Limited, is known to an excellent orator. He spoke in brief about the objective of Kochi metro, but highlighted the need to reduce the usage of private vehicles.

We had an opportunity to interact with T.P Sreenivasan, former ambassador of India and Governor of India, IAEA Chairman, who reminisced about his past visit to DCSMAT, and at the end of the day we had an opportunity to have lunch with the CEO of Cognitive solutions.

Experince drawn from Mr. Abhi Raj B.S, Ms. Arunima Prabhakar, Mr. Bobin Kuriakose, Ms. Christy Sajan and Mr. Venkitesh Das ( MBA 2017 – 19 Batch students of DCSMAT Vagamon).
