DCSMAT-Trivandrum has organised Fine Dining at Turtle On The Beach, a Five Star Hotel in Kovalam for MBA 15-17 Batch as part of their Corporate Grooming on 06-05-2017. The session was handled by Mr.Ashok Kumar , Trainer from IHMT Kovallam . The students practically learned the dining etiquette’s and mannerisms which is beneficial for their Corporate career

Practical Session on Stock & Commodity Trading

Stock & Commodity Trading

DCSMAT Trivandrum conducted a training session on Stock & Commodity Trading for second and fourth semester MBA students as part of Finance Club. The students acquired fundamental and practical insight on Investment decision, stock market operation and Equity / Commodity trading.The sessions was handled by a team from Sharekhan, a leading stock broking company. The training was led by Mr.Boban,Manager (Equity market operations). Best performers Mr.Ampadi& Miss. Sukanya Nath were given prizes for predicting closing BSE Index for the day.

Academic Workshop – 2017

Academic Workshop – 2017 will be held at DCSMAT – Vagamon from May 23 – 26, 2017. Individual Faculty will be presenting specified course plans (as per the formal structured formats), with respect to their assigned subjects. Course plans will be also presented for different value added programmes and add on courses planned. This academic workshop will be conducted with a thorough interface of academics and industry focus.

Club Inauguration held at DCSMAT, TVM

Club Inauguration

The inauguration of various clubs was held at DCSMAT, TVM on 3rd May 2017 in the presence of Teaching and Non teaching staff. Midhun Raj represented the students of MBA 15-17 batch and delivered an introductory talk on the various initiatives taken by them in various club activities. His talk was very inspirational and it invoked the responsibilities among the students of MBA16-18. The cultural programs started off with a welcome dance by Ms. Sreelekshmy S . The audience witnessed an enthralling performance by Ms. Arya V M. There were varieties of programs staged by students of both the batches. There was a medley by Mr. Nikhil Senan and Solo performance by Mr Bibin J Mathew. The program was concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Maureen Vellapally of MBA16-18.

Second KMAT Exam on 11 .06 .2017

ADMISSION SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE FOR PROFESSIONAL COLLEGES IN KERALA and all the Universities of Kerala decided to conduct one more KMAT exam on 11th June 2017 under the supervision of Kerala University. Trivandrum, Ernakulam and Kozhikkode are the examination centers and the last date of online Application submission is on 30th MAY, 2017 (5PM).

Moot Court held at DCSMAT, TVM

Moot Court
Moot court was conducted for MBA 16-18 as part of Business Law session at DCSMAT, TVM. Moot court is an extracurricular activity in which participants take part in simulated court proceedings. The objective of the activity is to broaden the knowledge in mercantile law issues and to improve the competency of students to successfully defend litigation when they start their professional career.Students enthusiastically participated in the activity by giving various arguments and defense related to the case.The session was handled by Adv. Prof. Sudeep Krishnan.

Lateral Thinking

A practical session on Lateral Thinking & Creativity for Managers was held at DCSMAT, TVM with a view to enhance the level of thinking of the students in the present competitive world. Lateral thinking is a method of solving problems through an indirect and creative approach, involving ideas that may not be obtainable by using only traditional step-by-step logic. This has relevance in business field.

INTERNATIONAL MOTHER EARTH DAY celebrated at DCSMAT

Is celebrated to remind each of us that the Earth and its ecosystems provide us with life and sustenance. It also recognizes a collective responsibility, as called for in the 1992 Rio Declaration, to promote
harmony with nature and the Earth to achieve a just balance among the economic, social and environmental needs of present and future generations of humanity. International Mother Earth Day provides an opportunity to raise public awareness around the world to the challenges regarding the
well-being of the planet and all the life it supports.

The theme for 2017 is “Environmental & Climate Literacy”

Education is the foundation for progress. We need to build a global citizenry fluent in the concepts of climate change and aware of its unprecedented threat to our planet. We need to empower everyone with the knowledge to inspire action in defense of environmental protection.Environmental and climate literacy is the engine not only for creating green voters and advancing environmental and climate laws and policies but also for accelerating green technologies and jobs

The Earth and its ecosystems are our home. In order to achieve a just balance among the economic, social, and environmental needs of present and future generations, it is necessary to promote harmony with nature and the Earth
Devising a new world will require a new relationship with the Earth and with humankind’s own existence. International Mother Earth Day was observed at DCSMAT Vagamon on April 22nd 2017 (today). The theme for 2017 is “Environmental & Climate Literacy”. Formal get together of faculty, staff and students of DCSMAT Vagamon was held. The gathering was addressed by Dr Umesh Neelakantan, Principal – MBA. On this great occasion, all faculty, staff and students took a pledge.
