DCSMAT Vagamon MBA 16-18 students have won SILVER and BRONZE Medal in BUSINESS SIMULATION GAME and CASE STUDY competitions in the All India Management Association – Management Olympiad held at Thrissur on March 27th and 28th 2017. Hearty congratulations.

Evening Presentation on Waste Management in India

Students of the MBA 2016 – 18 batch of DCSMAT Vagamon campus – Mathew Joseph, Meenu Paul, Parvathi P, Praison Raju and Prasanth P presented on the topic WASTE MANAGEMENT IN INDIA during the Evening Presentation at DCSMAT Auditorium on 23rd March 2017 at 7 evening under the supervision of Dr.Elizabeth Devasia.

The presentation examined the types and sources of waste and the methods of reducing, reusing and recyling of waste, organizations involved in recycling waste and the government laws applicable for the various types of waste.

The team attempted to sensitize the students to certain complex socio-hygienic issues in whole India around them. They also deliberated on the extreme view points and aspects on recycle and reuse of goods and packages and also avoidance of plastic items.

Environthon 2017 conducted at DCSMAT Vagamon

The International Day of Forests was observed by organizing Environthon 2017 – our own mini marathon, which had participants, including some professional runners from other colleges.

All DCians – students and staff had stationed themselves from 4 am in the morning at two different locations from where the event was flagged off. The 11 km event was flagged off at 6:15 am by the Panchayat Member Mr. Karuppuswami and the 5 km event was flagged off at 6: 40 am by the Pullikkanam Estate General Manager Mr. Pradeep Mohan.

The Chief Guest of the award function was Shri. K. P. Thomas, the first Physical Education instructor to win the Dronacharya award.

The first three prizes for the 11 kms were won by Mr. Binu Peter, Mr. Tibin Joseph and Mr. Adarsh Gopi.

 

The first three prizes for the 5 kms were won by Ms. Anumol Thambi, Ms. Angel James and Ms. Rixanna P V.

DCSMAT runs for a reason on 21st March

DCSMAT
Deforestation can be replaced with afforestation and reforestation, for this one should know the necessity of doing so and how it can be applied. To spread awareness among people who unknowingly cut down trees for their convenience and to save forest thereby save mother earth DCSMAT have organized a Marathon.
On International Day of Forests, countries are encouraged to undertake local, national and international efforts to organize activities involving forests and trees, such as tree planting campaigns. The marathon is organized in connection with this day. Running along Vagamon Valley it starts from the Vagamon Town to the DCSMAT campus on 21st March 2017 by 6am.
With Rs250 the registration can be completed. The prize money for 11 km is Rs10000 and Rs5000 and for covering 5km the prize money is Rs5000 and Rs 3000.
